When we started planning the 5th edition of the Dental RCM Bootcamp, we knew one thing: we wanted to make it a wholesome experience.
Our goal to improve on our last outing every year isn't just for bragging rights (though we knew that would be inevitable, haha). We were conscious of the responsibility and expectations that come with gathering multi-site revenue cycle and finance leaders in the dental industry—an industry seeing rapid growth and evolution. It had to be worth it.
Dare we say it: We made it worth it.
If you’re in the Dental RCM space and you weren’t there, our hearts genuinely go out to you. We truly wish you had been with us to experience it live. But because we’re kind, we’ll give you the next best thing: a vicarious walkthrough of everything you missed, so you know exactly how high to set your expectations for Bootcamp 6.0.
Buckle up. You’re about to relive the magic.

Day 1: Snow, Yoga Mats & Top Golf
Not Your Average “Arrival Day”
The 3-day event began at the Grand Hyatt, Vail, Colorado, with specially curated fun and adventurous activities on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Attendees focused on putting body, mind, and soul in the best possible state opted for yoga. Those looking to take in the breathtaking scenery chose a hike to enhance their appreciation of nature, while others gave Top Golf a go.
The day ended with a welcome reception. Just one day into the event, it was obvious that Zentist got it right with the choice of venue (to quote Dr. Charles Moser, our event MC).

The Evening Welcome Dinner
The dinner looked straight out of a movie scene: soft lights, mountain air, good food, and Andy Cyphert (seven-time Best of Vail Valley award winner) serenading the room with acoustic perfection. A surprise snowfall further draped the Vail scenery in beauty.
We bet attendees thought the best part of the evening was just the good food and music—until two llamas strutted into the venue like furry celebrities. Grown RCM VPs, Directors, and CFOs temporarily abandoned all professionalism to become llama paparazzi. Who doesn't love llamas?

2: Strategy by Day. Bev Burros at Night.
Monday kicked off the learning sessions in full force. Panel sessions featured top industry voices and RCM executives who were not interested in hoarding best practice tips and inside knowledge.

Between high-level strategy sessions, attendees enjoyed lawn games, including steer head roping, cornhole, and horseshoes. Bev Burros greeted guests with beer, setting the tone for the connections that were about to unfold.

Day 3: The First-Ever RCM Bootcamp Workshops
We introduced a new element to RCM Bootcamp history: Workshops.
These sessions were hands-on, engaging, and practically designed to equip participants with actionable insights and build confidence. The feedback was immediate.

By The Numbers: The Scale of Bootcamp 5.0
These are numbers we don't take for granted. The resounding success of the event wouldn't have been possible without our sponsors, partners, and the indefatigable Zentist team members.
- Nearly 80 DSOs Represented
- Over 5,000 Dental Practices Represented
We are already back to the drawing board for Dental RCM Bootcamp 6.0. We have set a new standard, and the goal isn't to drop it. First-timer or Bootcamp veteran? Either way, your spot at 6.0 is waiting.

Key Insights: The Golden Nuggets
As promised, here is a sneak peek into the strategic takeaways from our sessions.(Note: Full session videos will be available on our learning platform very soon. Stay tuned!)
- Front Office + RCM = Symbiotic SuccessRCM cannot win without the front office. The front office cannot win without RCM. Period.
- Due Diligence EssentialsInvestors scrutinize AR, payer networks, and centralization strategies. Centralization isn't optional; it's crucial for efficiency and competitive positioning.
- Breaking Down SilosRevenue cycle isn't just RCM's job—it's everyone's job. Communication, transparency, and executive alignment ensure every department understands its role in the revenue cycle ecosystem.
- The Human Side of RCMIf you're in RCM, you know the pain of writing things off. It creates real stress. Culture counts. Pay attention to how these pressures affect team members and provide coaching tailored to the individual.
- Financial Transparency WinsSharing financial data within your practice or DSO can be a game-changer for securing buy-in and cooperation.
- The Golden Rule of CentralizationDo it slowly, methodically, and thoughtfully. Don't rip the band-aid off. Done poorly, centralization can be disastrous. Done right, it transforms your entire operation.
- Technology as the EnablerStandardizing practice management systems makes centralization exponentially easier. Partner with platforms like Zentist that consolidate everything into a single place.
- Data Visibility = PowerVisualize and distribute. Give team members access to data. Numbers point to root causes—use them to ask crucial questions about eligibility checks, claim status, and payment posting.
